WNBA Tuesday Night New York Liberty vs Los Angeles Sparks It’s officially official. The New York Liberty are way down in the standings and were officially knocked out of the playoff race with a loss to the Phoenix Mercury on Saturday night. We knew this season was going to be one of examination for the Liberty, but it’s still a shame we didn’t get to see them at full strength for the duration of it. The opponent tonight will be the Los Angeles Sparks. LA is near the top of the standings and one of the favorites to win the championship this season. They took care of business with an impressive win over the Chicago Sky on Sunday night. All they’ve got to do now is stay healthy and hope that they have a better playoff showing this time around as compared to last year. LIVE STREAM

WNBA Saturday Night Phoenix Mercury vs New York Liberty The Mercury (11-7) try to extend their season high five-game win streak (longest since eight in 2018) against the last-place Liberty (2-15). Phoenix won the first meeting 96-67 on Aug. 2. New York has lost three straight since upsetting Chicago on Aug. 25.  The Liberty have been without No. 1 overall draft pick Sabrina Ionescu (ankle) for all but three games. Mercury G Diana Taurasi has made a WNBA record 28 3-pointers over the last four games. F Brianna Turner became the third player in league history with at least 16 points, 12 rebounds, six blocks and four assists in Thursday's 105-81 win over Indiana. WNBA Thursday Night New York Liberty vs Atlanta Dream Early on Thursday evening, the action inside the WNBA's bubble at IMG Academy will continue with a matchup between the Atlanta Dream and New York Liberty. This should have been a matchup between two lottery picks, but unfortunately Sabrina Ionescu is out with an ankle injury. Still, Chennedy Carter will be on display, and that is reason enough to tune in. Overall, it's been a rough season for both of these teams. The Liberty have won just twice, in large part due to Ionescu's injury, and sit in last place at 2-14. They way things are going, they have a good chance at getting the No. 1 overall pick for a second year in a row. The Dream haven't been much better, checking in at 4-13, which has them in 11th place. WNBA Tuesday Night New York Liberty vs Connecticut Sun The Sun will face the New York Liberty on Tuesday in Bradenton, Fla., at IMG Academy in a WNBA regular-season game. Having won seven of their last 11 games, the Sun seemingly have put their disastrous start behind them and intend to secure one of the eight spots in the WNBA playoffs. Meanwhile the Liberty simply have failed to launch and are mired in last place in the WNBA standings. The Sun handily beat the Liberty on Aug. 22 in the teams’ first meeting of the season.
