WNBA Indiana Fever vs Connecticut Sun

WNBA Saturday Night
Indiana Fever vs Connecticut Sun

The Connecticut Sun hope to have their engine back for Saturday afternoon's crucial game against the Indiana Fever. It remains to be seen if Connecticut will have its wheelman, though.

Connecticut lost without both its motor (Alyssa Thomas) and driver (Jasmine Thomas) on Thursday night to the mighty Las Vegas Aces, 93-78, in the WNBA's bubble at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla.

Alyssa Thomas, who has an undisclosed hand injury, wasn't listed on the Sun's injury report Friday. She wasn't listed on Wednesday's IR for Thursday's game either, though. She was announced as a scratch more than an hour before tipoff.

Every WNBA team is beat up and spent with a week left in the regular season. A late start due to the worldwide pandemic forced the league to condense its schedule to 22 games per team with everyone playing them in 49 days or less.
