Copa Sudamericana Lanús vs São Paulo

Lanús vs São Paulo
18:15 ET

Luck did not accompany Lanús in the draw for the second phase of the South American Cup: the Garnet will have to face Sao Paulo, the strongest team of all the third group of the Copa Libertadores that went on to the second tournament on the continent. In what will be their first official game in seven months, the South team will be home to Tricolor in search of a good result for next week's rematch in Brazil.

Luis Zubeldia's team came to this instance after having eliminated Universidad Católica de Ecuador, in a series that was played there far away in February and was defined by a 3-2 aggregate (Lanús won the first leg at home 3-0 and lost 2-0 in the road rematch). The bad news for the Argentine team is that they will not be able to count on their captain Lautaro Acosta, who is recovering from a tear.
