La Liga
Barcelona vs Valencia
10:15 ET
Barça yesterday had to turn the game around. With goals from Jordi Alba and Frenkie De Jong, the Catalans stole the three points from the La Liga leaders. Yesterday's victory was added to that of the weekend, when Barcelona beat Levante by the minimum with a goal from Lionel Messi.
With these two consecutive results, Barça is fifth in the table. Only six points behind the leaders, Atlético Madrid and Real Sociedad. A week ago Messi were not candidates for the title, but today they are. They have soccer and are getting closer to the high places.
To continue the path to the top of La Liga, the next rival is Valencia. The Catalans will face the local on date 14 against an irregular Valencia. Los Ches have not won by league since 11/8 when they thrashed Real Madrid. Then they lost against Atlético Madrid and added three draws, results that have them in twelfth position.
